Pizza and Almond Butter

The Tomblesons LOVE making things from scratch so Sunday we finally made the Almond Butter we had been talking about for a couple months. We had no idea how to make it but it turned out to be pretty easy

It turned out so delicious!! 

The almond butter got us on a making from scratch kick so the next night we decided to make our own pizza

It was SO good! We used an herb crust recipe and it turned out so yummy. 

Hmm what are we going to make next? Will we finally make that jerky we've been talking about since Christmas?

Annabel Goes to Church

Today Annabel went to the Blessing of the Animals at The Grotto. 

She had a great time and loved the songs 

  

She usually doesn't like baths but she didn't mind getting blessed 

For being such a good girl we got her a new hoodie at Old Navy

I love the beach or bark bark bark

We went the beach yesterday for the second time. I had so much fun. I went for a little swim in the ocean. 

At first I was pretty scared but then I got brave when I saw how much fun mommy and daddy were having in it. 

After i swam I rolled around in the sand to dry off and got so dirty

After the beach they ate more of yummy mos chowder while I relaxed. Dogs don't like clams so I didn't go inside 

  

The beAch makes us super sleepy. We turned in early. Ladies have to get their beauty sleep or no other dogs will want to smell us. Woof woof bye bye

What is your favorite food?

A: Pretzels! I love the crunch! 

What is your favorite movie? 

A: this one!!

What is your favorite book? 

A: I can't read, DUH. But I love it when my mommy reads me Stephen King!

What was your best day ever? 

A: oh the trip to the coast with our hike up saddle mountain and running on the beach!!

What is your favorite drink? 

A: Starbucks! Just kidding, it's water... Or  is it?

Who's your best friend?

A: I love my mommy and daddy but I have to say Kiki! I miss her!

What's a normal day at the office look like? 

A:

What's your favorite type of exercise? 

A: I love running and jumping! I can probably jump higher than you. Just saying. But I make sure and stretch and foam roll after. 

What's your favorite park? 

A: not this one! 

Ok, then what is your favorite dog park?

A: I love them all as long as there are no big dogs there chasing me! 

What's your favorite sport? 

A: I love baseball (go Braves) and soccer! 

What's your favorite flower? 

A: daffodils

Annabel's big adventure

This Memorial Day we decided to take Annabel to the beach for the first time. On the way we took her to Saddle Mountain for a nice uphill hike.

Before we started we all had our sandwiches to get us ready for the tough hike.

On the way up we took in some beautiful views 

We finally made it! We never thought we'd make it to the top!

Our fitbit counted about 189 FLOORS. Yikes! 

But it was worth it for the view. Jon thought he could see the beach from there

Then it was time to go back down

What?!? We have to go all the way down there?!?!? Yes Annabel 

Needless to say we were all pooped and headed to the beach. 

On the way it started POURING down rain so we decided to take a pit stop at mo's to let the rain die down. What happened when we got there??

Jon locked his keys in the car! What else happened? He locked his wallet in the car too! Luckily Annabel was still in the car and we called her over to the drivers side door and she hopped up and unlocked the door for us. PHEW! Did I mention it was pouring down rain? Thank you Annabel!!

So we went in and had some yummy food

By the time we were done the rain was done too so it was time to hit the beach! This was Annabel's first time seeing the ocean (we think)

At first she didn't want to touch the water at all. But she warmed up to it

Cold and wet we tried to dry off as much as possible and Annabel put on her dry hoody and warmed up.

It was time to head home. But not before we stopped at camp 18 for their amazing giant cinnamon rolls to take home. 

Jon said I had to share my cinnamon roll with Smokey the Bear

We all had one huge tiresome adventure and were glad to get home and relax!!
