Jon's Big 40th Birthday Adventure

This year for Jon's Birthday we took a little trip to do some things that Jon has always wanted to do.

But first? Champagne and cake in bed!

Then it was off to the Original Pancake House.

Then it was off to the Enchanted Forest where we had all kinds of adventures.

We were so exhausted and hungry afterwards so we headed to Albany to get some delicious Hungarian food from Novak's. It was amazing. We also tried two Hungarian liquors.

Mmmm paprika sauce!!

After lunch we headed back to town so we could Build-A-Bear!

Now we have Puppy Bones and Triple G Boxing Bear joining the family!

Jon's Birthday Weekend Extravaganza

Jon's Birthday Weekend Extravaganza started on Thursday when my mom made him a Guatemalan dish (stuffed chicken). There was cake and Jon scored some cool camping/picnic stuff and a Wii U game.

On Friday we headed downtown to The Bite where we tried all kinds of good foods. Sliders, nachos, pizza, hush puppies, prawn poppers, ciders, liquors and a crepe. We also scored some nice free samples.

Saturday the fun continued with a hike at Lewis and Clark State Park. We went a mile up and back on this really steep trail then we decided try and find the less steep trail. It was a really nice hike and Annabel had a blast.

Then it was time for the main event, camping at Stub Stewart State Park. It was my first time there. It was a really nice camp site with a little of everything, hiking, disc golf, horse back riding, biking.

After an exhausting weekend we are all ready for a nap!

Annabel's Birthday Celebration

Last Sunday was Annabel's 3rd "Birthday" and it was officially a year ago that she came into our lives.

We started the morning off giving her a present, which she loved

Next we baked Annabel a yummy doggie cake and we all enjoyed a slice

Later it was time for more presents. What's better than her favorite bones? A giant bone!

Then it was time for the real fun. We took her on a nice hike to Eagle Creek. It was muddy but beautiful.

We did about 5 miles and Annabel was tuckered out on the way home.

After we got home she wanted to chew on her new bone again.

Little did she know that she had one more present left. A giant dental stick treat. She took it and ran around the house whining until she finally went outside to bury it.

I think Annabel had a pretty good birthday and we are so happy to have her in our family.
