A Spring Trip Up North

We took a weekend trip up to Seattle last weekend to check out the Pompeii exhibit and the zoo. We found an awesome hotel right by the Space Needle with a beautiful view.

First thing going into Seattle we went straight to the zoo. We really loved the lay out and saw some really cute animals.

These were outside of the zoo and we just had to play with them.

Aww some really cute wallaby mamas with their baby's feet hanging out of their pouches

A kukaburra. I couldn't get that song out of my head. Jon had never heard of the song.

We got to feed birds!

BIG Komodo Dragon!

That night we went to have an AMAZING dinner at Serafina's. The food was so good and we had a great night listening to the piano player. After dinner we headed out to walk around the space needle area.

These things were so cool.

The next morning we went for a walk on the waterfront before heading to the exhibit.

We also made a quick detour up the Space Needle.

Then it was time for the main event. But not before I got my picture taken next to 2 of my favorite things.

We saw some pretty neat artifacts that were found in Pompeii and learned a little about what life was like before the eruption.

We also learned what it was like during the eruption!

Before we headed out Jon had to play with some of the science games they have out front.

We had such a great trip and got to explore some other areas of Seattle that we hadn't yet had a chance to check out on our other trips.

Annabel seemed to have such a blast at Grandmas that she was pooped when she got home.

Tombleson Flower Gardens

This year we decided to go hog wild and we went to the Portland Nursery and bought 152 flowers for our gardens! 67 of those were just for my pansy garden!

I got my very own indoor plant. I love it!!

This cool guy for the patio

Then all these to plant!

Which we managed to get all planted in a few hours.

This is Suzie's garden
