Annabel's First Race and other stuff

Annabel had a pretty busy weekend. On Friday she had a dog park date with zuzu and had a ton of fun

They were so cute running around.

All the running prepared Annabel for her first race on Sunday.

Julie and Gio went to cheer us on. Annabel did AMAZING!

She kept her eye on the prize and kept on running. I think she dragged me the last half mile!

We were so proud of her for being such a good girl.

She did good and kept hydrated.

She didn't even seem tired. But later at home she started to zonk out.

First I massaged her sore little muscles.

Then we snuggled together to watch Doctor Who

Don't think she cared much for it because soon after I heard her snoring

What a great weekend!!

And....

Finally... We did the ice bucket challenge. Check it out here!

Painting The House

Among one of our MANY summer projects was to paint the house. Although we had a pro on our side it was still a TON of work. Especially after helping my brother do his a couple weeks before. I've always hated the color and have been wanting to paint it for the past 8 years and it's finally done!

We started with the prep work, changing some siding, taping, etc

Then Bill started the main painting around the house, carport and shed

Bill even had Jon do some of the painting on the shed. We won't mention the foggy doggys ;P

I loved it right away, thought it looked like the TARDIS!

Luckily for Jon, who didn't care for it looking like the TARDIS, it was time for the plastic and tape to come off and the trim to be painted!

My brother helped with the lighting while we worked on the trim

And little by little we started getting it done.

We still have a couple more things to get done like buy a new light for the back and a new storm door for the front but overall I think it looks amazing!

Now on to the next project!! .... After some relaxing though...

Jon's Birthday Week Extravaganza

We started Jon's birthday week with a trip up to Seattle to watch his favorite team, the Braves, play.

We had such a great time, I even caught a foul ball!
And by caught I mean it hit me in the arm. OUCH!

We had some yummy food in Seattle and made a Dry Soda run.

Enjoyed the sights

Friday we had Jon's birthday dinner at my moms house. She made so much good food and had some yummy cake before Jon opened all his amazing gifts

The next day after getting some painting done we met Martha, Dustin, Pat and Liz down at The Bite and had some good food. We also got some awesome hats (not pictured) at the Foster Farms booth

Later that night we went to see Guardians of the Galaxy. Loved it!

The big day came and we were up bright and early for our trip to Mt. St. Helens. (Free hats pictured)

Jon was so excited for the hike

It was hot but worth the beautiful views

We even survived crossing Devils Ridge!!
Twice!!

We had such a great time hiking 7 miles and 110 "floors" according to our fitbits.

We didn't stop there though. On our way back we stopped and met Martha and Dustin at the Clark County Fair

We had quite the busy week and now I am ready for another weekend to rest!!
