What if you don't know how to make a quilt? Just do what I did, make one anyway! You will score even more points because he will know how hard you worked on it even though you had no idea how to make one. All those crooked squares are made with love.

Trains, Races and Museums
We had such a fun, busy time last weekend that we had to take the week to recover to post about it. So here we go!
We started last weekend off by taking a train ride out of Hood River.
We saw some beautiful views.
During the layover in Parkdale we walked around the little town, had some burgers and saw this amazing museum that had some incredible Native American artifacts
These are all rocks made to look like a thanksgiving dinner!
On the trip back we hadn't realized it was going to be a western whiskey theme ride and we got visited by the sherif and some prison escapees. There was also a magician that was awesome!
After the train ride we decided to head over to The Dalles to see the graves of my 3rd great grandparents. We also checked out Main Street for a bit.
The next day before working hard on our new deck in the hot sun, Jon and Gio did a Portland Parks 5k race.

Annabel's First Race and other stuff
Annabel had a pretty busy weekend. On Friday she had a dog park date with zuzu and had a ton of fun
All the running prepared Annabel for her first race on Sunday.
Julie and Gio went to cheer us on. Annabel did AMAZING!
We were so proud of her for being such a good girl.
She did good and kept hydrated.
She didn't even seem tired. But later at home she started to zonk out.
First I massaged her sore little muscles.
Then we snuggled together to watch Doctor Who
What a great weekend!!
And....
Finally... We did the ice bucket challenge. Check it out here!

Annabel's Busy Weekend
Annabel had such an exhausting weekend.
First she went to the pet Expo where she got a temporary
tattoo at the Petsmart booth. She collected a ton of swag and made a paw print
Easter card.
It was such a beautiful day she spent it running around the
yard and frolicking
That night she enjoyed a nice warm fire in the fire pit
The next day mommy and daddy left REALLY early to run a race
so Annabel stayed home to nap
Just the thought made Annabel’s body ache so she had to do
some yoga while mommy was trying to use her foam roller. Time for some downward
dog
Some more running and helping mommy and daddy move branches
while they cut trees just wore little Annabel out. Annabel is glad it’s Monday
so she can spend the whole day sleeping.
