Valentine's Day At The Coast
This Valentine's Day we decided to leave the pooch with Grandma and have a romantic getaway at the coast.
We stayed at a cute Inn and had a nice dinner at the Wayfarer in Cannon Beach.
In the morning we had breakfast in bed and made mimosas with our champagne.
Before we headed home checked out the beach near the Inn, went to Hug Point, and Arcadia Beach
We had a great time but we were happy to get back to our little Annabel, and she was happy to be home.

When Your Husband Has Too Many Race Shirts
What do you do when your husband has too many race shirts and its filling up a 2nd closet?? No you don't make him donate them, you make a quilt!!
What if you don't know how to make a quilt? Just do what I did, make one anyway! You will score even more points because he will know how hard you worked on it even though you had no idea how to make one. All those crooked squares are made with love.

Grandma's Cookies
When I think of Christmas I think of my Grandma's cookies. Christmas at my Grandma's was always so special. She always had her house decorated perfectly and beautifully and she made some amazing Christmas treats.
Now that I'm older and in my own home, I have the stocking up, I have lots of her decorations up and her nativity set. It's been almost 10 years since being able to spend Christmas with my Grandma and I never want to forget how special she made it.
This year I attempted to make lots of the treats she would make. With her recipes in tow I spent all day baking. It only made me appreciate all her hard work even more.
These are for you Grandma! It may take me my whole life to make them as good as you made them but I will never give up!
